Safari West

If you have never heard of Safari West, I suggest you look it up. It is one of the coolest places ever. It is located in Sonoma near Calistoga and Napa. We had the opportunity to go and celebrate Josh's grandpas 75th birthday. Basically you go on a safari in these really cool jeeps and spend the night in "luxury tents". The jeeps allow you to get so close to the animals. No gates or anything. Super awesome.

I should have taken a lot more pictures but I was so into what was happening I totally forgot about my camera. Boo.

I have never seen a baby monkey before. I was seriously trying to find a way to put him in my purse and take him home. lol

I am super bummed I did not take more pictures of the tents but believe me, it is cool. Avery has been talking about animals since we got back.

A trip to the fire station

I enrolled Avery in a parent participation pre-school class this summer to help keep us busy. Three of the six weeks were field trips to different places. The last one we went on was the fire station. I honestly did not think she would get much out of it at such a young age but man was I wrong. All she has been talking about for weeks is fire trucks.

Summer Fun

I am sad to say that summer is coming to an end. I start my annual training on Monday and the first official day of schools is August 27th. It is going to be soooo hard going back. I have enjoyed the time with Avery more than anything. Ahhhhh bummer man. Well at least I can say we kept busy this summer. Take a look at what we have been up to.

My brother and his family bought a house and moved in so I went up to help with the kiddos while they moved. Luckily I asked my niece Tinna to help cause that was a job.
