Christmas Tree

We went and cut down our Christmas tree today! This is the earliest we have ever done it. We usually do not go cut it down either but last year we decided to make it a tradition now that we have kids. We had no idea where to go so we tagged along with our good friends Kim and Rory and their family. It was so much fun.

Our tree was somewhere on that hill
Searching for the perfect tree

Found it

She is too cute in her hat

Mama had to take over so daddy could cut down the tree

Love this little girl sooooo much

Thank you Kim and Rory for letting us join in on the fun!

Dont worry, I didnt forget about Thanksgiving. I forgot my camera so I am waiting for some pictures to be e-mailed to me. That blog will be coming soon.

Visiting Santa

We were a little scared to take Avery to see Santa this year. We thought she would scream for sure but to our surprise she did awesome. Even Santa was surprised!! Good job Avery!!

11 Months

Avery turned 11 months old a few weeks ago. I can not get over how fast she is growing up. We are starting to party plan for her big 1st birthday. Yay. She was still a little sick in this picture but still so happy. We ended up having to go back to the doctors and put her on a 5 day dose of steroids to help with her croup cough. Poor girl!! She is feeling much better now.

Things Avery has learned recently:

-She knows where her belly is

-If you ask her "Where's your nose?" she will touch your nose instead

-She can clap

-She can wave bye-bye

-She says dada a lot

-She now has 8 teeth including 2 molars

We are so thankful to have such a happy and healthy little princess!!

Sick Girl

Avery had her first trip to the ER on Wednesday night. Her and I had been battling the common cold for about a week. Congestion and all. I put her to bed as usual on Wednesday around 8 and she woke up around 12 with a very deep cough, high temperature, and a nose she could not breath out of. I went to pick her up noticed she was having bit of a hard time breathing. We called the advise nurse and after explaining what we were going through she left it up to us whether or not we should make the trip (not very helpful) We decided to observe her a few more hours and she was not getting any better. At about 4 am we decided to go in just to be sure. Little girl was diagnosed with the dreaded croup cough. There is nothing they can do for it. They just gave us suggestions to help alleviate the symptoms. So now we have locked ourselves in the house trying to get her better. There has been slow improvements and we are hoping this will be all over very shortly.

This was a very scary thing for us considering she has been very healthy since she was born. Her spirits are up I just wish I could do something to help her with all her congestion. We are so lucky to have such a good little girl. She has only been getting up once during the nigh. It could be soooooo much worse!!

We love you baby girl and hope you are better real soon!

Halloween Fun

Well considering that November is almost over, I better post about Halloween. We had many activities to go to witch made the holiday very fun. The weekend before Halloween we met up with Josh's family and headed to the pumpkin patch.

All the cousins on Josh's side. Josh, Claire, Evan, Ruby, Lucie, and Avery

The next weekend we got invited to a friends church activity where we went trunk-or-treating. Everyone parked their cars and the kids got to go form trunk to trunk....super cute and fun idea. Thanks for inviting us Jessica!!

Than came Halloween. We did not make a big deal out of it considering Avery had no idea what was going on. Grammy and Grandpa came over and we went down the street and hit up a few houses.

Christmas is going to be so fun cause she actually loves opening presents

Hope everyone had a fun Halloween!!!
