Festival Of Lights

Last night my pal Jenny and I took the babes to Gilroy Gardens festival lights. It was sooo much fun and a great experience.

Greeted by the Peanuts characters
Avery thought they were hilarious.

My girl and I

Avery got to go on her first big girl rides. She was so brave.

1st ride: The Train with Ethan

2nd ride: The cars (I love that she got a pink one)

3rd ride: The fish

This one was her favorite because it went up and down

Last but not least we all rode the carousel together

Besides being FREEZING the park was beautiful and there were so many lights.

Thanks for coming with us Jenny and Ethan.

Walking

Avery took her first real steps a couple days before her birthday. I was soooo excited. This video was taken on her actual birthday. She is getting better and better every day. Go Avery!!!!

Avery turns 1

Our precious baby girl turned 1 on December 14th. How could that have happened so fast? This last year has gone by so fast. I can begin to express the amount of love that we have for Avery and how much she has brightened our lives. She truly is a blessing and has been the best thing that has happened to us.

In her honor, we threw a "cupcake" themed party. It was a perfect day surrounded by all our family and friends.

Thank you Jenny for making the adorable cupcake toppers

Thank you Nicki for helping me bake all her cupcakes.

Global Winter Wonderland

Avery has been way into lights this year so we decided to take her to Global Winter Wonderland. It is a bunch of replicas of places from around the worls. I was expecting a lot more but it was fun. She really enjoyed looking at all the lights.

Get Away

A few weekends ago Josh and I had an opportunity to get away for the weekend with some of our besties. Thanks to Josh's mom who stayed with Avery. I was a little sad to leave her but needed the time with Josh to just relax. On Friday night after Avery went to bed we headed up to the little town of Murphys. Our pal Ed has connections to an awesome cabin tucked away in the middle of nowhere. We got there at about 1 in the morning.

The next morning we just hung out. The best part for me was waking up and watching a movie all cuddled up with no baby to take care of. It was awesome!!!! Later that day we decided to go to town and do a little shopping, wine tasting, and relaxing. The boys had been working on a bail call all day and of course it had to happen when we left town. Unfortunately it was to big to pass up so after dinner we had to head home (one night early). Booo.

Even though our trip was cut early we had so much fun. I missed Avery like crazy and was glad to get home to her.

Thanksgiving

Before I update everyone on what has been going on in the life of the Gattos, I thought I would post some adorable pictures of little princess on Thanksgiving. We had a pretty mellow Thanksgiving this year. We went to the great grandparents house and had the traditional spread. Avery loved everything she tried and did such a good job sitting in her high chair the whole time.
